Dear Friends,
If you or any of your family/friends applied or will apply for an EB-2 or EB-3 green card, you know what I mean.It generally takes 5 years for us Indian and Chinese EB-2 petitioners to submit the I-485 form, and 7-9 years for EB-3 petitioners. During this long waiting period, our jobs are unsecured, our H1-B status highly depends on the job security, we are reluctant to purchase house, change jobs or start our own business, and our H4 spouse cannot work! The current visa backlog has put numerous eligible Indian and Chinese petitioners waiting for years, deterred our normal life schedule, and corrupted our natural rights to unite with our family at our will!
It is for these reasons that we at New Immigrants United (NIU) launched the following petitions:
1. Legal Employment-based Immigration Petitioners Deserve NOT to be Heavily Backlogged for Years

2. Allow Backlogged EB2/EB3 Beneficiaries with an Approved I-140 to File I-485 and Apply for EAD & AP

3. Assign a minimum of 25% of the annual visa quota to employment-based green card applicants on a quarterly basis

If you feel the same way against the whole EB-2/EB-3 visa backlog, please sign them and help us spread the word now. We only have 24 days left (until October 22, 2011) for the government to hear our voice and DO SOMETHING. Obama promised change and CHANGE must be done to alleviate our situation!
