1. Foreign Spouse's valid passport (bring your driver license also)
2. Foreign Spouse's original birth certificate with translation
3. USC spouse passport or driver license
4. USC original birth certificate
5. Original I-94 card
6. Original EAD card and AP documents if they are ever issued to you.
7. Original marriage certificate
8. New notarized I-864, last 3 years income tax returns and W2 forms,
employment letter
9. AOS interview notice letter
10. Any photos that have you and your spouse or your spouse's family in it.
11. Social Security Card for both USC and foreign spouse
12. Any documents to show your true marriage relationship (such as joint bank
statement, checkbook with both names on it, joint car insurance, joint car
title, joint health insurance, joint utility bills, phone bills, beneficiary
of 401K and life insurance, joint apartment lease or house morgage, receipt of
your engagement ring and wedding ring etc..... ) Different people will have
different documents here, just make sure that these documents can show the
immigration officer your shared residence and real marriage
13. Completed I-693 from civil surgeon if you have any vaccination supplement.
Note: Also bring all the documents required on the AOS interview notice
letter. Make sure to make copy of ALL your original documents (some officers
are happy about that because it will save them time to make copy), organize
them and put them in the labeled folder.
